JAMES FREDRICK "FRED" STEINER FORMERLY OF VALPARAISO, IN James Fredrick "Fred" Steiner, 61, of Georgia, formerly of Valparaiso, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013 in Atlanta. Fred lived in Georgia for the last four years. He had been the owner of an oil jack company in Ohio. Following his move to Valparaiso, he was the Director of Sales for Harvest Homes, Executive Director of Youth for Christ, and the Chaplain for the VU men's basketball team. Fred is survived by his wife, Karen; four children: Audrey (Mike) Krooswyk of Valparaiso, Ashley Potts of Michigan, Ben Steiner of Orlando, FL, and Aimee Steiner of Clearwater, FL; two brothers: Dan and Tim; and four sisters: Becky, Debbie, Beth, Phoebe, and Joanna. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Youth for Christ.
